Unbound - 2024 (34”x8”x8”)

'Unbound' is a bronze sculpture of a draped woman that stands as a symbol of courage and liberty.  The woman is partially nude, with exposed breasts, which, when matched with her confident posture, exudes composure.  This depiction of self-assuredness is an important symbol for the artist, who has suffered decades of anxiety challenges.  'Unbound' has a circular base and an elongated twist, which distorts the concept of 'front' and the viewer is drawn to walk around the sculpture.  The drapery is carefully conceived and falls naturally to the model's feet.  The liver of sulfur patina makes this sculpture a classic, lending to a sense of enduring confidence.  This piece is wonderfully suited for a private collection in a gallery, home, or garden.  The underside of 'Unbound' is complete with brackets for easy installation.  A product of the Gulf Coast, this piece was sculpted in Pensacola, Florida and poured at the Fairhope Foundry in Fairhope, Alabama.
